Scope & Content Contains manuscripts of articles and stories as well as published articles and books of science fiction writer Thomas F. Monteleone. Several of the manuscripts are noteworthy; in the case of Ozymandias, the author's typescript, the editor's revision, and the galley proofs of the book are all present (Box 2 folders 14-15, and Box 3 folders 1-2). Many of Monteleone's published works are present in the collection, including several titles that have been cataloged for the Rosenfeld Collection.

Admin/Biographical History Thomas F. Monteleone was born April 14, 1946 in Baltimore, MD. He recieved a B.S. degree in Psychology (1968) and a Masters of Arts degree in English (1973) from the University of Maryland. In 1974 he was a finalist for the John W. Campbell Award and has since won several Nebula Awards for his fiction. Monteleone is an active member of the Science Fiction Writers of America, Inc. and served a three year term as their secretary. Monteleone has published over 50 short stories and articles.

Provenance and Aquisition Information UMBC received two donations from Monteleone: MSS 1992-01 and MSS 1996-23.
Processing Information Collection unprocessed. Several published titles have been cataloged for the Rosenfeld Collection. A list of these titles with their call numbers are included as part of section IV. The call number for Monteleone's Master of Arts thesis is also given.
