Includes financial reports, Council meeting minutes, bylaws, annual reports, publication records, membership files and lists, clippings, conference and symposia documents, and materials relating to the 2001 Anthrax scare are included.

Admin/Biographical History Founded in 1903 as the American Breeders Association, the American Genetic Association is the oldest professional society devoted to the study of heredity.

Access Conditions No restrictions. AGA executive director and officers will have full and free access to records.
Copyrights Copyright on all AGA materials are transferred to UMBC with the exception of published print materials including journals, newsletters, books, and Proceedings. Reproductions allowed for research purposes.

Provenance and Aquisition Information Boxes were donated in Summer 2008. Additional print journals were acquired in 2009.
Processing Information Collection unprocessed. During rehousing of the material in 2008, stinkbugs were located in the files. The boxes were sent for freezing and vacuuming and were returned in Spring 2009. Special Collections staff vacuumed and refoldered the materials.
